Dear John.
I/ we John are so sorry to hear this very sad news.
I've just sat down with my 2 young children John and broke the news to them and they are upset and have started talking about our memories from Worcester and the visit to him last year to which all of us have said we will never ever forget.
Today we went out and had a meal and drinks for my mom BUT now I will dedicate a glass of whiskey to Alan, we just played the theme tune to star wars, and tomorrow we are buying a box of Maltesers now, as we did for him last year and we will watch the empire strikes back and return of the Jedi..
Please pass all our thoughts to the family and tell them that we said it was a honour and a privilege to have know him..

Deeply saddened by the loss of Alan my thoughts are with you and family. Would just like to say he brought so much joy and happiness to all us star wars fans here in the u.k and around the entire world.
