Early Career

In the mid 1960's Alan launched his career as a model. However, in 1967 he joined the Shanklin Theatre on the Isle of White.

Here he became Deputy Stage Manager and played various parts in stage presentations.


In December 1967 to January 1968 Alan appeared in pantomime in Treasure Island.

 In May to September 1968 Alan appeared in weekly repertoire, 4 plays rotating weekly including Dr. Haydock in Agatha Christie's 'Murder At The Vicarage' and as Private Huggins in 'The Amorous Prawn'.

Alan later appeared as Hitler's batman in 'Hitler: The Last Ten Days' which starred Sir Alec Guinness.
